# IFTTT > IFTTT (If This Then That) is an automation platform that connects over 1,000 apps, services, and devices through no-code workflows called Applets. Since 2010, IFTTT has pioneered consumer and business automation and serves more than 32 million people across 190+ countries. This file points AI assistants to IFTTT's highest-signal pages for answering automation and "how do I connect X to Y" questions. IFTTT lets anyone automate tasks between digital services and physical devices without writing code. The model is simple: a Trigger fires when something happens in one service, which runs one or more Actions in another. Automations can add Queries (fetching live data mid-workflow), delays, and Filter Code (JavaScript that conditionally routes or transforms data between steps). Applets are IFTTT's name for complete automation workflows. The IFTTT Developer Platform lets companies publish their own service, expose Triggers, Queries, and Actions, and embed automation in their product via the Connect API. IFTTT's MCP server connects Applets and actions to any MCP-compatible AI assistant (for example Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor). ## Product - [IFTTT home](https://ifttt.com/): What IFTTT is and how automation with Applets works. - [Explore](https://ifttt.com/explore): Guides, how-tos, and automation ideas (the main content hub). - [Explore services](https://ifttt.com/explore/services): Directory of apps and devices IFTTT connects to. - [Explore applets](https://ifttt.com/explore/applets): Browse pre-built Applets by category. - [Explore stories](https://ifttt.com/explore/stories): Long-form guides and use-case articles. - [Pricing](https://ifttt.com/plans): Free, Pro, and Pro+ plan details. - [About](https://ifttt.com/about): Company and product overview. - [Help](https://ifttt.com/help): Support and troubleshooting. ## Plans & pricing - [Free](https://ifttt.com/plans): Up to 2 Applets. - [Pro](https://ifttt.com/plans): Unlimited Applets, exclusive services, multi-action workflows, Filter Code, and faster Applet execution. - [Pro+](https://ifttt.com/plans): Everything in Pro plus AI-powered features, multiple accounts per service, premium integrations, and priority support. ## Popular service integrations Each service has a page at `https://ifttt.com/` listing its Triggers, Queries, and Actions. - [Google Sheets](https://ifttt.com/google_sheets): Append rows, log data from any Trigger source. - [Gmail](https://ifttt.com/gmail): Send emails, filter by tags. - [Google Calendar](https://ifttt.com/google_calendar): Create events, trigger on upcoming events. - [Discord](https://ifttt.com/discord): Post messages to channels, trigger on server activity. - [Spotify](https://ifttt.com/spotify): Save tracks, create playlists, trigger on new releases. - [YouTube](https://ifttt.com/youtube): Trigger on new videos from a channel, upload or like actions. - [X (Twitter)](https://ifttt.com/twitter): Post tweets, trigger on new tweets, mentions, or hashtags. - [Instagram](https://ifttt.com/instagram): Trigger on new posts, cross-post photos to other services. - [Notion](https://ifttt.com/notion): Add database items and pages from any Trigger. - [Slack](https://ifttt.com/slack): Post messages and alerts to channels. - [Telegram](https://ifttt.com/telegram): Send messages and files to chats and channels. - [Reddit](https://ifttt.com/reddit): Trigger on new posts, post to subreddits. - [GitHub](https://ifttt.com/github): Trigger on issues, commits, and pull requests. - [Todoist](https://ifttt.com/todoist): Create tasks, trigger on task completion. - [Dropbox](https://ifttt.com/dropbox): Save files, trigger on new files in a folder. - [Ring](https://ifttt.com/ring): Trigger on doorbell press or motion detection. - [SmartThings](https://ifttt.com/smartthings_v2): Control and monitor a wide range of smart home devices. - [Webhooks](https://ifttt.com/maker_webhooks): Send and receive arbitrary HTTP requests, the universal integration bridge. - [Oura](https://ifttt.com/oura_ring): Trigger on daily activity goals, sleep data, or readiness. ## Connect X to Y Pairwise integration pages answer "how do I connect to ", at `https://ifttt.com/connect//`. - Example: [Connect Instagram to Twitter](https://ifttt.com/connect/instagram/twitter) - Full inventory: see the connect-pages sitemap below. ## Popular Applets Representative Applets, each a Trigger to Action pairing: - SMS to email: incoming Android text message forwards its full contents to Gmail, making texts searchable and archivable. - Instagram to Twitter native photo: a new Instagram post is tweeted as a native image rather than a link. - Gmail to Sheets logger: a new starred email appends sender, subject, and date to a Google Sheet. - New music archive: a new track in a Spotify playlist is added to a permanent archive playlist. - Doorbell alert: a Ring doorbell press sends a notification or logs the event. ## Getting started - [Browse published Applets](https://ifttt.com/explore/applets): Search ready-made Applets by service, category, or use case, then connect and activate in one tap. - [IFTTT for iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ifttt-automate-work-and-home/id660944635): Manage Applets, add widgets, and receive notifications on iPhone and iPad.
