How this automation works
Remotely restart your QNAP NAS with a single tap and receive a confirmation on your Alexa device. This Applet runs when you press the Button widget and triggers your QNAP to reboot while sending a voice notification to Alexa. Ideal for QNAP owners wanting quick system control and confirmation from their Echo devices. Note: Install the IFTTT app and add the Button widget to your home screen.

Polling Applets run after IFTTT reaches out to the trigger service and finds a new trigger event. These trigger checks occur every 5 minutes for Pro and Pro+ users, and every hour for Free users.
This trigger fires every time when a new file is stored to the selected folder.

Polling Applets run after IFTTT reaches out to the trigger service and finds a new trigger event. These trigger checks occur every 5 minutes for Pro and Pro+ users, and every hour for Free users.
This trigger fires every time a new system event occurs on your QNAP device. This trigger is only available to the device administrator.

A query lets your Applet retrieve extra data that isn't included in the trigger, so that your automation can include more complete or useful information.
This query returns a list of every time when a new file is stored to the selected folder.

This action will append to a text file as determined by the filename and folder path you specify. If there is no file present, a new file will be created. Once a file’s size reaches to maximum a new file will be created.
