How this automation works
Email a nearby eBird hotspot to yourself so you can check species lists and maps quickly. When the Button widget is pressed, the Applet queries eBird for nearby birding hotspots at the location you configure and sends the top hotspot's details to your Gmail. Useful for birders who want quick hotspot links, species counts and a map delivered to Gmail for planning or offline reference.

This query returns the nearest places where someone reported the bird species you name. The nearest place comes first.
Send an email
Action
An action is the task your Applet carries out after the trigger occurs. It defines what happens as the result of your automation and completes the workflow.
This Action will send an email to up to twenty recipients from your Gmail account.
