How this automation works
Record nearby eBird sightings into a Google Sheets spreadsheet for easy logging and review. It runs when you Receive a web request with a JSON payload; the Applet asks eBird for the nearest sightings of the species name in your webhook and adds up to five sighting rows to the spreadsheet you select. Useful for birders or automated field apps that want eBird results archived in Google Sheets for later analysis.
