How this automation works
Record nearby eBird hotspots to Google Sheets. The Applet runs when you Receive a web request with a JSON payload; it asks eBird for hotspots near the coordinates in your webhook and appends up to five hotspot rows to the spreadsheet you choose. Great for mobile field apps and automated trackers, this logs hotspot name, ID, location, species/checklist counts and the webhook timestamp in Google Sheets.
