About this Applet
Send your upcoming ballot contests and candidates to your phone via SMS. When you press the Button widget the applet asks Google Civic Information for contests at the street address you configure and sends the top ballot items by SMS. Perfect for voters who want an at-a-glance ballot summary from Google Civic Information delivered through SMS before voting. Note: Customize the message to fit your tone.

About SMS
Get important notifications on your phone via SMS. This service has a cap of 100 SMS messages per month for users in the US and Canada and 10 per month for those outside of North America. To avoid having Applets paused until the next month if you hit the limit, try the Notifications service. Some carriers outside of the US are not supported yet (learn more here). Please note: Messages sent must adhere to IFTTT's message guidelines.

Google Civic Information provides US election data by street address: where to vote, when polls are open, and what's on the ballot, sourced from state and local election officials through the Voting Information Project.
