How this automation works
Trigger automatic notifications when your system reports an event via Webhooks. This Applet sends an email through Gmail or Email and delivers a voice notification to your Alexa when the Webhook event occurs. It's perfect for monitoring sensors, smart devices, or alerts that matter most to you. Customize the message to fit your tone. Note: This requires a reachable webhook endpoint (URL).

Realtime Applets run after the trigger service notifies IFTTT of a new trigger event. Since IFTTT is notified proactively of new trigger events, realtime Applets normally run within a few seconds of a trigger event occurring.
